Cannot speak to pre upgrade but noticed several reviews nothing the rear speakers and sub would cut in and out. Have not noticed any of this. Mine is hooked up to a Sony TV with no issues.

Yeap, it comes with everything except the optical cable. It works really well with my Samsung tv, not so much with an older Insignia tv. What issues did you notice that were solved after updating...

I am in Mississippi, They had this for 229$ for almost a month but no one bought it, Maybe because of the 2* review on samsung.com. Friday they reduced it to 199.97. They still got like 4 more

I too picked this up from Costco on Friday. First thing I did was upgrade the firmware as it was just released last month. Most of the issues noted in the negative reviews should have been fixed....
