I witnessed my neighbors home get totally flooded when a cheap connection failed. The is an actual problem. Same reason I won't by cheap batteries. Just not worth it.

I bought one of these cheapo bidets just to give it a try. The first one leaked so I returned it. The second one works fine and I'm still using it a year later. My next bidet will be higher quality....
