Honest question here since there is a lot of outside noise in this thread. If you plan to hardwire (and not use the 12V cigarette lighter), why can you not buy the home LED strip lights and hardwire?

I have them in BMW as well. I think they actually help as it gives just enough light that you can see the interior at night without being distracting. Say if im reaching for a tissue or something...
