Yep why this is not a FP deal makes no sense, this is better than every other router deal on currently out there. The only thing this system misses the mark on is full fledged customization for...

Yep, firmware update was the first thing I did (and it prompted me anyway) when I initially installed the system. That's the same version I currently have.

Are TP-Link's AX3600 units known for disconnect issues too?

did you guys set this up wired backhaul or wirelessly? Im thinking about getting one since my current netgear nighthawk would drop all wifi and try to reboot at the random times of day.

I'm going to say no on that. $300 is a lot and can buy decent gear. FiOS is so simple if you are just talking internet connection - plug straight into a wireless router. The difficulty is when...

The AX5700 can act as a stand alone router, I am not sure about the AX3600 packs, but I would assume yes??? That said the AX3600 wont get you over 1Gbps speeds through wifi if thats what your...

No its software is very basic, so there is no customized DNS or openvpn support unfortunately. This router/mesh is for people who just want internet that works out of the box without any...

Question for those with Verizon Fios Gigabit connection Wouldn't be simpler just to lease their router and extender for 25 a month. For a price one has to wait for a year to recoup and investment. ...

Still, this model does not allow a separate 2.4G SSID. Big thumb down!

The X60 is a great choice if you have 500Mbps to 1Gbps speeds even without the triband or a wired backhaul, you need to saturate the bands to really start losing performance which almost no regular...

It would not hurt to swap it master/slave just to see if any changes. If your still having bad luck I would try one replacement set and see if that fixes your problem after that go nuts on another...

Thanks for that link...spent way too much time there...lol. I see why there is so much love for Asus now on all these router threads and am leaning that way myself. I'll probably start with an AX86U...

Well said - the 2nd node disconnects every few days for me. It's terribly frustrating. However when it works, it works well. I ended up returning it anyways.

No, create a guest network and put the garage opener on the guest network since you can make that only 2.4ghz. A lot of older devices and older IOT devices have problems with combined bands or smart...

Your welcome, also in most cases if you upgrade the wireless card in your computer you would have also gotten close to similar speeds to the hardwire. These with wireless backhaul work fantastic.

To be fair, depending on your ISP up/down speed sometimes coverage from more mesh units and coverage might out-weigh individual unit performance for your house layout. Although I would note that...

Darn. I was hoping I can change channel (MW6 can't). Well, I don't really need a mesh system in my place (less than 2000sqft). I'll look for an ax router for use as bridge. One unit should be able to...

I was looking at the intel-based tplink archer ax3000 router for $70 refurb. Its performance looks pretty good but capacity is less than this set. Then again, it's 1/3rd the price. I'm leaning...

Unless you need the slightly more coverage your getting over 1.2Gbps of wireless throughput with the TP-LINK AX5700 compared to the rbk753 at about 850Mbps. So all depends what you need.

Thanks for the tips! Yes, in mesh mode and not AP. I removed and reset the satellite unit to factory, then reinstalled. Rebooted entire system afterwards, and both units indicate they're on latest...
