Alright, aside from ease of setup, what does this offer over a set of speakers? I'm just sayin it's really not that difficult to setup speakers and you get a much better bang for your buck

one big advantage i believe of the sn9yg is airplay2 connectivity if that is important to you.

I have LG SL9YG with my Samsung Q900 TV. The sound bar does not switch to ARC from Wifi mode (Google Assistant mode, when TV is off). It actually turn off the sound bar, I have to go to TV settings...

The actual specs on this thing are pathetic. Sub only goes to 80Hz, and the system THD is 10%. 10%! Of course I had to download the user manual to find any of that. Which is your first clue...

It's called 'marketing'. I've even seen cell phones and laptops advertised as 'Atmos'. And you will pay extra for it, because Dolby is getting paid everytime one of their labels is being used.
