For $800 from Indonesia Ibanez can probably afford excellent quality control. Its the price point they build to more so than the country of origin that matters much for how good a guitar really is...

Maybe to you they play and sound better; to others, Indonesian made instruments sound and play better. Quality control on Gibson is atrocious and last I checked American made anything isn't better...
