those b-die kits are much better and should be able to do CL14 3600 MHz. Ranks are not configurable.

Depends on the tightness of the timing. This is mediocre CL16 RAM, so you might actually see similar performance from a high quality CL18 RAM.

Most people would not notice the difference, in Ram specific benchmarks my guess would be 5% or less.

Thats good. I love crucial ram but hate having to use armoury crate with it. Crucial software was so terrible for it, it would either freeze or not do anything for it.
