most of my sockets came in sets, a few specialty ones I purchased seperately. but in no way does this kit include a socket set, and you'll need a lot more sockets than this if you want to work on...

I bought the huskey one which was on sale months ago. That is also made by gearwrench I guess not sure. Anyway that was cheaper at I think close to 50 and is doing great! You may get similar price...

Question, 40 years ago, did your tools fall from the sky or did you have to buy some or all? Follow up question, did you buy one socket at a time or buy a kit?

Maybe stop guessing and listen to people who actually work on cars such as myself. Take a tire off, they use an impact. Put on, it depends on a shop. This is a good set for tires and more....

you'll need a different torque wrench for plugs, they're usually 10 to 20 lb ft of torque, not 50 to 250.....

The torque wrench is also useful for replacing spark plugs since they need to be tightened to a certain degree. Sure the stuff you need this set for is not numerous but if you or your family have...

Lug nuts that come off easily with a standard 1/2" ratchet (maybe 10" long?) are likely not torqued properly. Usually around 75-80 ft/lbs for steel wheels and 95-100 ft/lbs for aluminum wheels on...

If you only had one car, you probably would not need 6 different socket sizes or think it was worth investing in a bunch of tools.

with this set, all you'd need is a jack, and you could open up your very own tire changing business, just sayin its a little much for one car.....

“Tire Changing Set” - I’d love to see someone change a tire with this, that requires serious skill. I could swap a wheel with it, but that’s about it.

You'll be surprised with the mechanics who have used impact guns to put on oil pan bolts and things like that. Severely overcue. The thing is about over tightening a log on tires that you can break...

Had those bolts stretch and break while on the freeway because those type of mechanics didn’t use a torque wrench. Luckily I was paying attention and able to pull over. I’ll never go to a place...

I have no idea what a mechanic does to take a tire off, but would much prefer if they would use hand tools. I've never had to use a breaker bar to take off a lug nut, to me that would indicate the...

The click-type wrenches like the one here are fine as long as you store them at their lowest setting. If the spring inside is compressed for too long, it weakens to the point where the wrench is no...

I have a breaker bar in my truck that I would have never bought except for some stubborn lugs in a pretty crappy situation. Luckily was within walking distance of a hardware store.

I have a torque wrench for about 7 years. They they good for a while or should be replaced every x years? I use it several times a year to switch out the summer and winter wheels.
