I really wanted this to be VA but it's definitely IPS. Finally looked at one at BB and it was pretty easy to tell it wasn't VA. The salesman also pointed out the difference in how the panels react to...

Thanks for clearing that up. You’re right, my experience was with monitor technology, not tv’s. And in the monitor world, most people prefer IPS.

ULED and QLED are the same thing, just different terms used by the manufacturer. OLED has better picture quality, but probably isn't the best for monitor usage due to the change of static images...

Is ULED, QLED or OLED better for an occasional work monitor? Probably not for active working but for presentations and google docs plus watching movies and some gaming. What do folks here...

Well shoot. I had my hopes pinned on this TV, but after reading the comments, I'm not so sure. I'm in the market for a budget 75" and I thought hisense was *the* one. Looks like the 75" sets aren't...

You also look at monitors at very close range where the vignetting effect would be more noticeable with VA whereas it is less so with IPS with their slightly better viewing angles (while being...

I believe it's a tradeoff, VA has much much MUCH better contrast than IPS. Which is a pretty gigantic deal. The reason everybody splurges over OLED is contrast. IPS IIRC is like 1000:1, VA's are 6 or...

Yep thats the best way! haha. I'm already at 65" so I need 75 to get a wow factor :( Tv game is cruel that way. You get used to whatever size you've got, and you can only go up. Anything smaller...

First time I’ve heard anyone wishing their tv or monitor was VA instead of IPS. IPS has better viewing angles and generally better quality.

I just got this model a couple of weeks ago. It looks great other than the occasional Halo effect on black screens. That doesn't really bother me though as it's a bedroom tv for mostly late night...

Unfortunately its IPS as confirmed by the Hisense rep for US, the Canada rep, and at Hisense USA (888) 935-8880. Both of their 75's are IPS... as many suspected when it came out that the U7G 75 was...

Well the 65 u6g is more than ok for a basement tv for 700 or under and was rated well by rtings.com. it's their top value buy in fact. I'm simply not interested in the ips 75 tho which is an...

Yeah I guess I might as well do it right! Still, I’m a cheapo and between the ps5, a new phone, a tv, receiver etc it’s gotten kinda ridiculous haha.

I think you'll regret getting something like this that doesn't have HDMI 2.1 and a refresh rate higher than 60 Hz. Not saying it will be bad for gaming, but you'd be limiting yourself right out the...

The plasma was most likely a 1080p display which meant minimal up conversion from 480p or 720p. Plasma also had better blacks and viewing angles. OLEDs are a better match for plasma TV's than LEDs.
