Received one today and returning it. The sound quality is not there with JBL Xtreme plus it's too heavy especially without straps.

The Onyx 6 sounds better, but has MUCH worse battery life. If that matters to you, then I'd return your Onyx and buy this.
With that said, you can buy XG500 for $170 shipped on another thread...

if you got time, check them out at best buy. they should have demo units. they are close. probably not worth paying 4 times more for the jbl. i dont like the fact that sony has SRS in the model...
