I agree that having the 5 (or 7) speakers in the ceiling will typically be a compromise, however two things that could have greatly improved the system in your daughter's audio system is to 1)...

I have two pairs of the previous versions of these, including a full 5.2.4 atmos setup. They sound great on music and movies. All speakers have their own "sound". Only you can say if they sound good...

Fair enough... I didn't expect them to shake the walls (though they probably would a little).. but given their original MSRP ($259) ea. I would expect semi-decent performance. I ordered a Yamaha...

Well depends what you consider good sound. Will these portray an accurate sound of a digital piano, IMO no they would not. Would I expect that from a $60 pair of in wall speakers, no not at all....

"""if not you are losing a lot of that energy out the rear""" Please you explain this? Because it's my understanding you would want a driver's back wave "energy" (in a non ported speaker)...

Yes. I have the previous version of these in my tiny home gym. The acoustics in there suck, but it's completely listenable. 👍🏼

Can anybody comment how these are with digital pianos? Would these portray the sound good or would these be better suited for home theaters?

Would two of these be good for a garage? Replacing cheap TV speakers that is just used for YouTube videos and maybe some music while I'm messing around in there. Would it then be preferred to run...

That’s awesome and that’s all that matters! That’s the great thing about sound, it only matters what the listener believes/thinks especially after actually listening!

I have two rooms with both of these sets of speakers. Everyone who hears them comments on the sound quality and how good it is. They aren't as good as my studio 590s, but for a non audiophile they...

Cool! Be sure to get a nice subwoofer (or two) for these. Bass rolls off around 60hz or so.

Thank you! I ended up buying 4, 2 front and 2 rear. Figured even if it wasn’t the best, it would be better than my sound bar

Based on "reviews", people tend to like them. I don't see too many negative reviews. Whether you will like them can't be predicted. Audio "quality" is subjective. Example...I don't like the KEF...

There was another deal listed for Polk ceiling speakers from Costco which was marked expired, but I see it back down to $149 for a pair. Would these be better for a little bit more?...
