Ok thanks for the reply! I actually already bought the roku version, but still this may be helpful for others. I'm happy with the TV overall, I'm coming from an older 1080 LCD and I'm not super picky.

As per rtings, this TV is brighter than the roku interface one. A little better overall. My suggestion is to get this TV and if you dont like google TV buy a $20 Roku 4k stick

I'm buying the 50", free 1 day delivery. Best Buy has extended return policy to Jan 16, so even if there is something better on BF, I can just return it and get the new one. Thanks!

I agree with this. I have a Vizio Roku and the OS is slow and laggy. I just have my set turn onto my HDMI and use a Nvidia shield with it or a modded up Fire Stick. It's a way better experience. ...

Yeah, spending hours for a waiting for a deal that you might not get and will probably pop up again in the next six months has never been appealing to me. I did do a return/rebuy once though.

Word seems to be that Google TV is a rebranding of Android TV with a bunch of additional stuff (that I don't care about). Apparently there's a "just a TV" mode that I'll probably be taking advantage...
