I have multiple Arlo cameras and love it! Like many people in the comments, I think getting the subscription is worthwhile. Otherwise you are buying a top-tier camera without the bells and whistles....

I have an arlo system with 4 cameras and a hub.. two of the cameras are having issues and was wondering if these can be used as replacements to connect to the hub or if they’re stand alone cameras.....

Ultimately it will depend on your use case and your desired setup. There are definitely pros and cons to each system. If I were you, I'd watch some Youtube videos of people showcasing various systems...

It will work in a sense, but severely handicapped losing just about all the key features that you'd want this system for.
Without a sub, you can still view the stream live and get notifications on...
