I will add, I have a Surface Pro 7 running Windows 11, but my main desktop is like yours, with a 7th gen Intel Processor. But I am not worried about it. I don't think Windows 11 is a MUST UPGRADE...

Most likely you will need an upgraded cpu. I believe they require an 8th generation Intel chip at least for Windows 11.

Sounds like you have a great computer except for the processor. 8th gen or higher intel processors are available at walmart for $150 and up. That's a cheap fix and dramatically improves performance.
