i'm concern on the wifi compare to the osync. as that seem to be better control. i'm still debating.. i won't want the wifi because its faulty and cannot fly far enough..

is it worth it to go with the mini 2 for $419? only difference is the wifi 4m vs osync 10m. 2.7k vs 4k. and some other minor stuff. any advise?

I was referring to altitude and not distance only. Mine wouldn't go higher than 500m (1/2 km or 1,640 ft).
