Yeah electricity is cheap here I looked and it's .078per kwh + a 014 fuel charge per kwh so not bad at all, that makes it super cheap to just use a l2 charger and recharge every night. There are...

Yes, but… Circuits are rated for 80% max amperage continuous, so technically you’d only need a 40 amp rated circuit for this. You need to divide load by 80% or .8 to get proper circuit amperage.

10c/kWh.. Lucky you. :shake: You're right about the paid public chargers' rates. It would cost more to charge using the paid public chargers than to run the PHEV as a Hybrid car if that's the only...

Great information, I started doing the calculation of gas vs electric and frankly it's a lot closer in my case ( same car PHEV Honda Clarity ). I've been on 120v ( standard outlet ) for the past 6...

Sure thing. It's from driving an EV with less then 150 miles range and charging using a 120v charger for the past 3 years. Don't get more limited/restricted then that. Unless your taking about older...

It's best not to worry about how fast it can charge to full, but rather how much energy do you use on your normal commute or up and coming trip. Look for the efficiency of the car you want to buy...

This would need a minimum of a 40 amp breaker and 8 awg wiring. Electric car chargers are considered a continuous load so can draw no more than 80% of the breaker rating.

Look the price of Romex wiring. It’ll be quite costly to have that project done before using this

Yeah it’ll come with a l1 charger that takes like 10 hours…but this would drop it to around 2 hrs which I think is a must with a battery with only a 25 mile range

Depends on car.. for Tesla for instance if you charge at 32a you'll get 30 miles per hour of charge, 40a is 37, and 48a is 44. If you're just going to plug in after midnight and charge in the...
