You can actually use any power supply with this case as long as your cable lengths work. If you look at the manual, it’ll show you to run the wires through the connect hub placeholder piece.

The hub doesn't convert power. It reroutes power. It should never get hot at all unless you are drawing too much juice or have a bad connection.
