I also thought 6 TB and under were lousy SMR drives. I bought 28 TB for under $800. This doesn't get me out of the bed in the morning.

It works out to 16.67 per TB which is fine right now, but we've had tremendously better. Under $15/TB is where I personally start to get interested.
