Yes Thinkpads are king but this Thinkpad does not have the same keyboard as the older Thinkpads. - 1.5mm travel compared to 1.7 - Keys are more shallower The Razer and the Omen beats this...

For me, I will always get a thinkpad. Nothing beats that red mouse and scroll button at your thumb. Perfect mouse and scrolling action from the home row position.

Sure, but the X1 Extreme Gen 4 and P1 Gen 4 are cross shopped since they're nearly identical, and the 3060 is one of the main configs for the X1 version.

Comparing the two and based on some comparison videos I saw, I think the latest m1 MacBooks are actually a better option. I only recommend going this route if your need the dgpu in a laptop form...
