There is a difference little bit. NVME is 1 to 2 sec faster than a normal SSD for loading games, sometimes more. Think about why. There are a lot of test results.

For P5: you need an NVME Gen4 SSD for an expansion M.2 slot. P31 is Gen3. P5 expansion M.2 doesn't support NVME Gen3.
