Well, WD Black are som of the fastest NVME 3x4 as I has the SN750. I have not tried any WD SSD though...since Samsung are the best SSD Sata 3. Seagate Firecuda NVMe look like great specs too but...

Doesn't mean much. One model to another will be different in performance and price. Companies make different tiers of product so not every model will be a top performer. Lower priced models...

This is no better than an OK deal. This is the exact same drive as the Western Digital SN550, which is regularly on sale for less than $80 (I think $78 was the most recent low, including coupons). ...

I highly recommend WD Black SN750/850 NVME and Samsung 970 SSD...if they are on sale. Otherwise, get wutever is cheap and 500GB-1TB...you will NEVER use them to it's TBW limits for home use.

Just want to add my 2 cents here. We bought 42 of these a year ago. Most have around 10tb writes. 18 of the drives have died. I don't recommend these to anyone.

It is a fair deal. The MSRP ($229) is wildly inflated. NVMe deals are everywhere nowadays. No need to hurry especially if you care about performance (this one has no DRAM)

+$10 gets you into WD Blue territory. Not a lot of extra money when you're going to use something for many years.
