vote for S70 for $130 1TB. It is even faster than Samsung 980 Pro. Both are at BB.
the xpr s70 is measured 7200r/6300w, samsung is 6800r/4800w. Samsung probably last longer I guess.

I wouldn't be so sure... uniformity is the entire console schtick over PC's, no? If the specs say min. 5,500MB/s, the developers can actually use/test/validate their code @ 5,500B/s to stream assets...

This may be a possibility but the speed difference is not likely noticeable at all. If a company does “require” higher speeds then you could just install that game on the internal SSD I would think....
