You sure you did not get the Gen 3 perhaps. I have both 1TB Gen 3 and 4 of this SSD, and I get around 3500 Mb/s and around 4900 Mb/s with Gen 4.

LISTEN UP: DO NOT get this for your ps5. I bought and returned 2 in the past week and a half. One got 3500 one got 3800. Yes they would play ps4 games but I wasn't impressed. Several of the reviews...
