Be carefully of the weight limit. I'm around 225 pounds, but if I'm carrying anything up with some weight to it, I would be easily over the 250 pound weight limit.

He has a standard opening. And needs the 22.5'' which is more than twice as much. Surely you can see why you can't put something 25'' wide through a 24'' hole?

Connect 2x4 or 2x6 or 1x4 to one of the inner side of truss that gets you perfect fot for this one. Don't mess around with ladder it self but add left or right side support. Hope this helps. This...

Can’t you just stack some wood with the appropriate with on each side and make a square? It will only make it stronger.
