Can anyone explain how the free upgrade to windows 11 works? I bought an msi from Costco a month ago and the Microsoft tool says it qualifies. But everyday I check windows update and it’s not there....

It seems that way but a laptop's GPU is not comparable to a desktop GPU based on the model # alone. This 3060 < a desktop 3060.

Notebookcheck review does not look bad as a gaming laptop but the display panel is not really suited for graphics or design work. You are also stuck with a red backlit keyboard. Still a good deal...

Is it me or are Gaming laptops better value now compared to building out a gaming desktop? The price of GPUs and CPUs are ridiculously expensive to even upgrade an existing desktop

I am absolutely shocked my 4700u is still stronger than this 10750h... and I got it for

Bought this pre Christmas for just slightly less. You get what you pay for. It is a very low end 3060 and the thermals are at best mediocre. The fan when gaming sound like a turbine. That said...

Wish this was a 17. This is perfect to replace my I7-9750H and 2060 card. MSI seems to be OK for me. It is all plastic but that is expected at this price point.

I think the main difference is Frys would still take the return after they interrogate you and inspect the item. Newegg will refuse to accept the RMA and charge you to ship back the item.

The problem was related to an open box product. But generally newegg CS sucks, if you have to return anything good luck. RMA process at newegg is the industry worst. If you received a product and not...

Personally, I stopped newegg about 10 years ago when they went downhill (the first time). I didn't have any issue either myself, but saw the complaints and problems start to pile up online. Lately...

I am not a PC expert at all, but this seems like a good deal. There is a 10% off promo code EMPUSA2022, but it didn't work for me. Said the offer is not available for my email address. I wonder who...

Half the time products break in transit. With their close ties to China one would think Newegg would have a bubble wrap hookup.

Newegg is under fire right now because they were caught selling broken merchandise repeatedly.

I have an old 1060 and it's fine. The only thing might be lack of 3.0 ports, but you could always get an adapter. My old oculus requires 3x3.0 ports. You'd more than likely have to keep it...

Well, the old GTX 1060 does VR pretty well. So I don't know why an RTX 3060 wouldn't be much more capable for VR. Sorry bud. lol

Costco is better specs and warranty, but it is also 500$ more expensive.. what is the point of comparing these ?

If it was without the rebate most definitely the best bang, but if you dont mind waiting on rebates yes have not seen a price this good on a 3060 in awhile. If your not counting the rebate...

I would stick with the Costco one. Better processor. No need to upgrade memory (yet). Don't have to deal with rebates. Costco's 4 year warranty (if you used Costco credit card). Better graphics card...

Someone tell me why this would suck for VR games, and I should get a $3000 desktop instead.
