the example I gave is accurate! I purchased 5 of the 600 version and the first one I got was under $400 and then it started going up. They are now almost $800

Flash is much better generally for stills. Also your place is too small, bad for headshots, which have fairly specific requirements. An 85mm lens needs a longer working distance than 7 ft will...
