Weirdly I only agree with that with spinning rods. Same concept, just feels weird on the baitcaster. I wish I could make it work because L hand retrieves are usually cheaper to pick up new and used.

The same thing people swear a manual transmission from the 90s is better than a 10-speed automatic in 2022. They didn't have a choice when they learned how to drive/cast.

Man, having to switch hands after casting just to retrieve is so cool and ergonomical. I also like to stab my food with a fork with my right hand, switch hand and bring it to my mouth with my left.

It doesn't make sense that baitcasters and spinning reels have opposite side cranks. Left handed baitcaster reels should be standard

It’s much easier to use a left hand retrieve baitcaster (as a righty), don’t have to swap hands after casting.
