These are 8 percent cobalt - this is what commercial machine shops use. The cobalt makes these almost break proof, and dull proof. Ten time longer life is way on the low side in general use. The...

This amount of discount constitutes a “slick” deal? Come on. Great bits, but…come on.

I've got a Precision Twist Drill 115pc set from MSC for about $129 a few years ago, but it's all high speed steel, the same set of cobalt drills is closer to $450.

Sorry Bubba, incorrect. M42 is high speed steel with 8% cobalt. They do not sell pure cobalt drills, the ones you call pure cobalt are also high speed steel with, you guessed it, 5-8% cobalt, a...

Third time I’ve seen this deal. I bought a set for general use and a set for my drill press. Quality is great compared to titanium or black oxide when cutting through steel. I’ve not tried other...

Their marketing for free replacement is too good to be true.. But if it was real, and they followed through without funny business , that would be a hell of a deal. I just can’t find a...

I'd say Drill Hog is a scam. The holders and American flag stickers may be made here, but the bits are most likely Chinese. And their address is a UPS store, they don't even have a physical...

Does anyone know of a good 115pc cobalt drill kit with decent quality bits at a reasonable price? Are the DrillHog brand sets and warranty a scam? Are those even decent quality bits or just...

Do these break as easily as the DeWalt cobalts? I do love how they eat up metal but the snap so easily.

I just used my set from years ago and they do a good job of drilling metal. Better that most titanium bits I’ve used. Not sure on longevity, though. One thing I CAN say is that this is NOT SLICK....

Sorry, yes I mistakenly put cobalt rather than carbide. I should also add that specialised carbide drill bits and milling bits can go into several hundred dollars a piece.

As far as I know, cobalt drill bits come in only two flavors, M35 which is 5% cobalt, and M42 which is 8% cobalt. Carbide is even harder, but will break if you look at it wrong because it is so...

The individual bits are generally pure cobalt at a cost of $4-20 a piece for smaller bits. These re M42 steel alloy (8% cobalt). Certainly the carbide bits last longer and are better at...

I've purchased so many sets of these kind of drill bits, Milwaukee, DeWalt, Makita and Bosch, and I found out that these bits don't last. Those individual ones are way better than these sets, same...
