If you’re talking about the dewalt job site saw that’s 8”, you can’t use a dado blade on that.

This Skil saw's built-in stand seems to be adjustable to account for uneven floors, and that should help w/ stability.

This saw has rack and pinion. The older Skil table saw did not. They released a whole new revamped product like Fall 2020 or something.

I hipchecked all of the saws that were out at my local Home Depot and Lowes. The only one more stable than this (I bought shortly after it was released) is the big Dewalt one that is like $600...

I bought this saw from Acme last December and it is a very nice saw! Used it yesterday to rip some plywood for my camper roof replacement. It is VERY loud, but very powerful!

Over the last maybe 2ish years I’ve seen it at Lowes for $250 about 5 or 6 times. Lowes and Amz last offered it for $250 around Black Friday. Not since then that I’m aware.

Don't hesitate to upgrade if you can. Got rid of my rigid saw recently for the dewalt with rack and pinion and my production (cutting boards) has tripled.
