Mine is starting to drive me crazy. Makes an annoying noise after a while that goes away for a bit by turning it off and on.

Seems to be dead, did you have a link in case I'm missing it? I realize you posted 3+ days ago, so expecting it is dead.

August is our hot month, and my first month in the new place that has no AC. 😅 Last year we had a week of 117 degrees. Being without an AC is not an option in my book.

Yep. Since I never used this style of bracket with an AC before, I used a level a number of times to make sure it was sloping to my liking. Before, I have built a wooden frame for the non-U shaped...

Heads up, using this witn a GFCI outlet connected to an ArcFault breaker will constantly cause the GFCI outlet to trip. So if you are planning on using it in a garage like I do, you may need to...

Not level, technically you need to angel it slightly so the water flows away from your house.

Umm one issue, if you go back in time in the DeLorean I’m not sure the ac unit will fit in the car. Also you may buy the one I got then I would be out. You time travelers can be selfish sometimes and...

I'm new to this. So if I buy this, and install it on the window that has the slide up door? I assume the U shape is for that purpose? Want to try out but not sure if the return will be easy.

Most newer windows, you can slide it out of its rails for cleaning. Two tabs on top of the window. Slide it upwards a bit to slide the ac in then slide it back down to lock. You may need two people.
