Never, never buy google cameras. The warranty is pathetic for paying such a high premium for the cameras. We have a 16 camera system with about a 50% failure rate on the cameras. They start dying...

The Home app is a travesty. It's vastly inferior to the Nest app and these are not compatible with the Nest app. But the name says Nest. Go figure.

Your footage is stored on their cloud, so not your own storage. And for one camera it’s not worth it, but it’s the same price if you have 5 or even 10 cams.

FYI: if you like the Nest app over Google home, these new “google nest” cams only work with google home. I could not get them to work in the Nest app. Really wish I would’ve known that before buying
