It's not working for you because your sub has not expired. It is only Oct 1st. It is working for me since my sub had expired.

I assume you waited for the subscription to actually end before doing this? I cancelled shortly after signing up with the free month to make sure I wasn't charged next month.

Cancel after your three months are up and try to resubscribe for another free month unless you decide you want to accept another 3 months if your current price is offered again.
