I guess the long one is good for 3+" screws? I use up to 3" on the shorter one. I don't ever use screws longer than that.

If you look you can see the longer one is longer than the case. You can figure that out. Looks like smaller one fits.

Can confirm as well for your first question. The larger magnetic drive guide does NOT fit in the case sadly. But still a handy pocket set.
