Yes I think it was likely a pricing error maybe because 1tb is also 99 sometimes 109 or 115$ so can't have 2tb at same price... and this was launched April 2022.

Then get the T5 :) I have two and there's nothing wrong with it. T7 sucked at prolonged writes but this Shield fixes that, see Tom's hardware review.
