I have both and my gf and I prefer "Party". Its definitely a bare bones game but the motion controls (and motion controlled mini games), ally system, and special dice make this feel like an evolution...

People bash this one but my kids love it. We have both versions and they love getting an ally and the larger roster of characters. It’s worth the money.
