Lol, the 5950x stock gets over 10k more points in passmark than the 12700k (46k vs 34k). Hell, even the 12900k only gets a score of 41k. And keep in mind those figures are with the 5950x running...

12600k is half the price of the 5950x though. So it's all about what people are willing to pay and what their uses are. Right now Intel is cheaper for gaming. That's why AMD dropped their prices.
