Not buying a GPU because I'm salty at this point. The 3060 in my laptop I had to buy because of the gouging will tie me over. Hope they squeal like piggies.

Except it's no supply/demand, we're in an oddball, global staring contest, between the supply side and the consumer. On the supply side, there's newer chips waiting for release, there's a huge...

Now that doesn't make any sense at all. Why would a 4080 be almost 2x as fast as a 4070. The 3080 is only about ~12% slower than the 3090. So this is saying that the 4070 ~ 3090 but the 4080...

I’m not sure what the next generation is really going to give you outside of 4K. Pretty much everything runs awesome at 1440 with current high level cards. Ray tracing improvements to the point...

Would love a source on that if you have one. Sub $500 would probably be my buy in for a 3080. Then again, my 1070Ti is still handling UWQHD pretty damn well.

costwise, i think to break even for the 6800xt was around 400-450 the 3080... the cooler was like 100 dollars by itself so "shrug" also the 3080 i believe is a larger die as well

Yea, I was originally excited for waiting on the new generation until I realized I would also need to buy a new beefier power supply as well to go along with waiting however long for a decent price...

Same card, same situation. With FSR my 5700xt is still quite viable. I'm just waiting for this market (and the car market) to take a huge dump in the next year to year and a half so I can swoop in...

Do I return my 3070ti I got two weeks for the same price for this? So torn. Was playing GoW and it was stuttering on 1440p ultra and dropping under 40fps several times.

That one would be hard for me. i think they are both too expensive still, but once you start looking at 4k nvidia is a solid match if not better, and that really more the use case at this level and...

I see no issue what so ever with your mentality. The lax-nature of folks is what's allowed prices to drift up. In addition this is a deal site. I agree with you. I paid 400 for a 1080ti years ago...

Lets think about it this way, if they are willing to slash prices at this velocity in this short of a time then that could mean the demand is shrinking and therefore they are sweating. So why not...
