I'd run straight fluoro on spinning too if it worked. A full spool of fluoro on spinning gear, unless it's 7lbs or less (and even that will cause problems) performs very poorly.

I fish multiple times a week. Just because you’ve heard of a brand doesn’t mean it’s main stream. I can rattle off 20 more established fishing line brands. This stuff is bottom rung.

This is designed to be main line, not leader. It’s more supple for casting, which inherently means it will likely be less abrasion resistant than fluorocarbon that is designed to be used for leaders....

I'd recommend using fluoro that's designed for leader material vs. fluoro line. Leader material is designed to be a little stiffer and more abrasion resistant. In a pinch main line fluoro...

Most people use braid main + fluorocarbon leader. If you fish once a month, and lose the leader twice each trip, 660 yards will last almost 15 years.
