I bought it and it wasnt bad but no better than my Celestron 25x70 Binoculars. Yes- you will have to spend a bit more if you want a good telescope.

I had a similar Celestron, and I feel a good pair of binoculars (Celestron SkyMaster, for example) is comparable in price and more functional.
