You don't understand what I'm saying. They require you to use a service called Plaid to connect your account to your bank and you do so by giving Plaid the login information for your bank account....

Neither Venmo nor PayPal require you to directly add a bank account anymore, just a debit card which can be used to add, and yes, receive money through.
I wouldn't have either PayPal or Venmo...
