just call the other store and tell them you don't want the item. they tend to hold for more than 7 days, it seems whenever the get time to clear out the shelves. but be nice to the folks in store...

So what if you pick up the kit at one store, and just don't pick up the battery at the other store? Policy says they'll hold items for 7 days and then refund to the card.

Somehow i managed to get total of 6 5Ah and 1 6Ah in the past a couple of weeks...because the free stuff is either free battery or brushed tool. I don't mind non-fuel brushless, but not brushed.
