Elementary school kids can weigh from 30lbs to 80lbs, so your comment doesn't convey much data. It was too heavy, tall and top-heavy for my kid (falling out of backpack side-pocket). She loved...

Received one today. They are very large and heavy. Not for kids. But it is perfect if you are crossing Sahara desert and need cold water all along.

What is your experience with Takeya insulated bottles? I've had mine for about 7 years and it's still going strong, & the lids last longer now that I wash them in the dishwasher. Thanks in advance!!

So strange about the broken lid comments. We have 4 of these and have used them for over a year, kids sports and sent to school daily…thrown around, and dropped. Lids are 100% fine.
