It’s nearly double the speed for the CPU and GPU. People pay far larger premiums for much less benefit when buying hardware.

For $140 less you take a bit of a performance hit but you get 16GB of memory and 512GB ssd. You have to really really want that CPU.

That 4700U is a mobile CPU that is much slower than the 5700G. Even the benchmarks you sent show that it's significantly faster. Check out the passmark difference too...

The cpu is $250, so the case, mb, and psu costs another $250. Why am I not impressed?

The performance is more or less equivalent to a NVidia mx450 laptop GPU. However, the CPU performance is probably the fastest in these form factor mini PCs, until the 12th Gen NUC or similar PCs...
