You already answered with my solution, bought a single socket. I have a 12 pointed one and have changed out at least 5 annodes with it (camper and home) in the last 10 years, without nay issues...

Spark plug sockets also typically have a little rubber boot that will help grab the plug once it is loose, which would be missing on this set.
