i pirated the first 2 books from this series when i had no idea what they were, read them, then thought it was good enough to want to support the author. pretty good stories in the early ones.

Great books! For those unfamiliar, these are part of the Mistborn series, which has an original trilogy (called Era 1) which has a fairly typical fantasy setting (i.e. swordfights and magic)....

I believe Sanderson is a Mormon so his books are pretty clean. He's very entertaining and he never stops writing.
