If you want a game that has clear rules and balanced, fair gameplay run away from this one. If, on the other hand, you want a game that will create random & often hilariously unfair situations...

Loved the 2nd edition gameplay build up even though 90% of the time it was an anticlimactic clustercluck of confusion and one sidedness at the end, everyone scratching their heads.. Might bite on...

Exactly my experience as well. Too often the critical new rules aren't clear on basics like how your new pieces can move and attack. You can assume in your/the betrayer's favor and annihilate...

That’s a plus in my book. For everyone who was saying the 2nd edition haunts had some clarity issues, my friend group had no issues until we hit a scenario from Widow’s Walk. That’s all the worst...

I don't believe the Widow's Walk expansion is compatible to the 3rd Ed.

That was most likely 2nd edition which is great buy still at $20. 3rd edition just came out. I saw 2nd edition in clearance as well.

I have owned 2nd edition, Baldurs Gate, Legacy, and now 3rd edition. We have played about 8 games and the rule clarity is miles better than 2nd. Definitely worth a pickup and pretty beginner...

You may be correct. The third edition is more "CW" if you know what I mean, and the second edition more edgy. I prefer the higher quality build of the second edition with the printed out ruleset...

But many of those better reviews (my guess) are from those who have both editions and are comparing them.

MUCH better? A quick search shows the 3rd edition is ranked far worse (4,813 vs. 586 overall), although its average rating is 7.595 vs. 7.047. Look for that to balance out as the third edition gets...

This game can be hit or miss depending on the scenario you get. I understand being confused on the first play-through which can be unfortunate, but for more than 50% of the scenarios it creates a...

2nd edition comes around cheap often enough. 3rd edition was reviewed as kind of a lateral move and some of the reviewers favored 2nd edition. You can likely find Errata and a better rule book or...

I have the second edition and play with my 9 and 11 year old. They love it. The first time playing I recommend the 9 year old isn't the traitor (or if he is, help him a lot.)

The issue with the game is you get thrust into this situation where you are the only player whose objectives and ability to move and fight have completely changed and you essentially have 5 minutes...

This is a really really fun game. I don't know what changed in this version but you should buy this game if you have a group that is capable of playing something a little more complex than Monopoly.

The Walmart by my house had it in their clearance aisle for $35 but rang up for $19 so YMMV

I don't know what version I played but it wasn't this one, we always enjoyed it and though the Haunts tended to often favor the traitor I never thought the rules were bad. There were some ambiguous...

Per BGG the consensus is the 3rd edition is MUCH better than the 2nd edition with new haunts and fixed/better rules. I personally plan on trading in (donating) my 2nd edition and picking up the...

The 2nd edition rules were fine. Always had a blast playing. Hope these rules aren't bad.
