It's the solar models, the compartment between the electronics and solar array isn't sealed well and water can get in. Can be easily fixed with silicone gel.

Cameras do have 2 year warranty. I know myself and others have had great luck with their support. Any issues they will send you a new one to replace it.

Had a SpyPoint camera and it did not last. Even a very light rain year was too much for it and it failed within months. Searching around various forums seemed to indicate it was a widespread issue....
