I have. I've used DRAM-less drives from Inland/MicroCenter, Western Digital/Sandisk, ADATA, and even a 10+ year old 60GB Patriot. ALL of them absolutely run circles around the Crucial BX500 in...

Unfortunately the SSD is on backorder. No indication of when it might come in. Also - it won't accept Paypal when on backorder.

I copied my current os to wd blue ssd from Newegg and it gave my pc various errors and stuck in a reboot loop. Put the old os ssd back in and no issues. Had me thinking my pc was bad.

You need to try the other dramless drives on the market buddy lol. I can in good faith say I’ve tested about 7 different dramless drives on the market and the BX is the best bar non. The others are...

I have used several BX drives. They are probably the best dramless drives on the market. The controllers handle this way better than others. Having said that, if the mx500 is only slightly more...

I moved my system into a more modern case and it only had room for 2 - 3.5 HDD (I had 4). So I'm using this to replace a 7 year old WD Black with music and pictures on it. Im sure it will be fine...

While it's better to have one with DRAM when using it for an OS drive, it's not totally necessary. I've used plenty of DRAM-less drives as system drives and they usually work adequately. Also,...

While crucial is great brand, the bx serious has low tbw. Go for their MX series. Much much better. Maybe will cost you $15 more but totally worth it.

I personally haven't noticed any issues. Yep, it's YMMV indeed, so choose carefully : https://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc/comments/sup3i6/crucial_bx500_hangs_up_on_windows_but_works_just/

That's not true. I was using BX500 as a system drive, and it was locking up way worse than the HDD prior to that. DRAM drives cost about $10 more, and return that handsomely in terms of performance.

I have no experience with P5. It has a different controller, so it could be more sensible. Search or reddit and see if there is an issue.
