H2testw for windows, there are similar apps for Android and Mac (f3?), don't know about anything for Chrome, but you can write to them until they fail.

It seemed to be much more of an issue when 128 was a large card and you could turn a $5 card into a $50 card... why turn a thowaway 8g-32g card into a 128g when for the same effort you could make...
