The explorer is just for casual rides. The battery life is short but can be remedied with an external powerbank. It works well...

Or buy a generic out front mount for $5 from Aliexpress. For small plastic parts like this the Chinese clone parts are a good cheap alternative.

I think the screen is pretty small on the 530, even on the Edge Explore I struggle in cities.
530 is not touchscreen. So may take more time to learn but will be better in the rain.

Google maps isn't that great on bikes anyway... it's probably better to compare with apps like ridewithgps as a bike computer replacement or osmand if offline navigation is what you're interested in.
